Textension is a game where you use words to create patterns, word graphics and more.
Not really a game as such, more of something to do for a while, Textension is word play with the emphasis on the words.
You are given ten playing options (some noticeably more different than others) in which you can type anything you feel like. These things turn up on the screen and, depending on what mode you’re in, do something different.
In one mode, pressing enter releases your text as a bubble which floats away. Long sentences float higher; short ones are fast and low. Another mode uses each letter only once, so that the previously used letter races to take its new place when used again.
As said, this is not a game as such, it’s something to do. It’s not easy to describe, but it’s easy to explore. Take a break and type something – see what happens and enjoy.
This is a nifty little program that twists, bends, breaks, moves, mixes, etc. the words you type. It is entertaining if you are bored to death, but it is easy to lose interest in it. I can understand why some people would not like a game like this, but there are a few people around that like the concept of word art and this is exactly that. I give this program a 5/10.
It doesn't require a lot of thinking. It's just a cute little diversion but the novelty can wear off.
Not very entertaining, and this isn't even a game...
