Sideswipe is a very small game in which you control a little chappie type person in a little buggy type thing as it does its thing and continuously moves right across the 2D platformer world. The buggy can jump, and can speed up and brake if required. Coins must be collected.
But here's why I hate the game.
1. Initial impressions from the screenshots you might see floating about are good. The game looks amazing. Yet when I played this, the quality of the graphics actually made the game crawl along really slowly to the point of being almost unplayable.
2. The engine is unresponsive. Press the SHIFT button and there's a small delay before the vehicle you're in jumps.
3. There is only one tiny level.

Sideswipe is a fast paced platform/side-scroller similar to Mario.
In Sidesweep you are on a motorbike and have to collect all the coins on the level while jumping from platform to platform and avoiding all the moving and spinning blades, either on the ground or flying above you.
Sideswipe's graphics and game play reminded me exactly of my old Sega games.
Sidesweep has an online highscores table for you to compete with others.
