It’s about as retro as you get here, in One Switch Blob Race. As you will find, the details are fine tuned here and will quickly hurl the older gamers among us back to a time when their TV console was as big as a modern day VCR.
In One Switch Blob Race, your task is simple, reach the end of the track. But be careful, there are rocks in your path. These are easy to avoid and they’re the only hazard you will meet, except the dynamite, which can be avoided the same way – jump over it.
There are cool things to collect, like birds and balloons which give you points and extra time, respectively and when you reach the end, as always in the old games, you are granted bonus points for the amount of time left over.
But the thing which will most likely divide critics of this game is the actual screen of it, not only is it small but it has lines across it. That’s right; you are looking at it as if it's directly off your old television set.
It’s instantly recognizable and will certainly bring a smile to the faces of gamers who remember the old days before classic games were retro. This is a small and short game (unless you are willing to stick with it and make it last) and is definitely worth a look for both young and old gamers alike.
