A fun remake of
This is not the first remake of Boulder Dash we've seen here - these come to mind. This version has graphics of a very smooth quality and gameplay which moves along at a cracking pace - and a level editor!
While nothing can be said about the actual game itself which isn't a rehash of what you already know about Boulderdash, the things which is does have are - get this - exploding enemies. Sometimes dropping a rock on an enemy will cause it to blow a hole in a wall. Other times, your beautiful cat food is held within. The best thing is, when their goo explodes wherever, it leaves a stain. If it explodes on you, you'll carry around a portion for the remainder of the level.
Obviously, that's not the only drawing point of the game, but it is a really good one. The entire package is so neatly presented and well thought out, that it begs you to play it again. The addition of a level editor adds an additional element of excellence.
