Race the clock in this highly polished block-busting game where the keys to success are correct positioning, star collecting, constant combo-ing and bonus block exploding.
Starting on a 10x10 grid which is filled with different colours, you are given a glowing outline of a shape. Somewhere on that board is a position where your outline will be filled with blocks of the same colour. Most of the time, they’re simple – two next to each other, or on top of each other – that’s where the game gets interesting. Soon enough the shapes you need to identify are L-shaped pieces, T-shaped pieces or I-don’t-know-what shaped pieces. Quickly, but comfortably, the game ramps up its difficulty in this manner and will keep you on your toes.
The methods of play are different and varied. In the most basic form, you need to “pop” stars - you do that by making sure a star block is inside your shape when you pop it. There is a time-trial mode where you have two minutes to get the highest score and finally, my favourite, “keepy uppy” mode puts you against your own combo meter. Keep up with the combos and you can play for longer, failing to keep up gives you a solid game over.
