Huey is another 2D side-scrolling platformer with enemies to avoid and puzzles to solve.
Huey is a very cute game; the graphics leave nothing to be desired and the gameplay is quite typical to a platformer, although the enemies are very tedious-none of them do anything special. Unfortunately, there are also several bugs that make the game feel unfinished and leave you with a "longing" for a glitch-free game.
The fact that the soundtrack consists of one song is a detrement; however, Huey does give you the option to turn off the music without the sound, which I found appealing.
Huey, at first glance, looks like a fun game; worthwhile to download and play, but these problems with the game detracted very much from the experience. I would recommend that you download and play Huey, if only to tell your friends that you played a platformer that wasn't Mario, but then toss it. Don't waste time that you could spend playing better games.
Huey is a 2D side-scrolling platformer that doesn't seem to be out to change the genre.
Huey is packed with lots of levels, secret areas, as well as some puzzles that you will need to solve. Like all platformers, you need to collect different objects on each level in order to get more score. These include gold stars, fruit, cans of cooldrink etc.
There are a several different enemies to watch out for as well as obstacles common to platformer games, such as spikes and holes that you can fall down.
Huey includes a level editor so you can make your own levels. It also gives you the option to load and save your games.
The graphics are very simple and a bit blocky, but they suit that game. There is nothing amazing about Huey but it's well made and fun.
