Two games in one - a people smasher and a robot builder. Both controlled with just one button.
In Beltality (whatever that means) from Russia, you are head of a major corporation (or something) and you're mainly in charge of the assembly line. Except this factory has two assembly lines. One for destroying people and one for constructing robots and - hang on - what kind of a nuclear holocaust post-apocalyptic robot loving situation is this game preparing us for?
The first game, "destruction" is a constant stream of humans rolling along the path. Pressing down crushes them. If you crush enough, you're rewarded. They probably saved you a seat in the robot loving fall out shelter. Just don't hit it when the kill arm isn't ready to fall, or you get a "false". Presumably this causes the factory time and you know what they say, "Time wasted is Time you could have been Killing Humans".
Speaking of the robot apocalypse: The game takes a grimmer turn when you play "constructive" mode. In this game, three arms build robots. The first is for the torso (feet are provided) and the second is for the head. If the third arm hits a fully built robot, it is crushed. The aim is to produce enough robots (without crushing them) in order for the world to be conquered and your spare seat in the fallout shelter to be taken over by a laser wielding evil mechanical droid.
But above all, its a family friendly game. There is only a small about of highly cartoony violence, far from graphic. The are some scores kept and there are bonuses along the way (the letters on the track) but these are best left to figure out for yourself. Needless to say, this is a quirky little game which displays arcade and some puzzle elements wrapped in a Christmas colour sceme of warmth. Also, its fun.
